Day One: Huaraz Musho- Campsite Base-4800 Meters
Usually we leave Huaraz at about 8 AM. En route we pass by Carhuas, Mancos, at 2,530 meters. From this place we head toward Musho which is located to the northeast of Huaraz. There the donkeys and donkey drivers await, who will transport all the equipment. This day the walk will take about 4-5 hours to the base camp.
Day Two: Campo-Morrena-5,200m.s.n.m.
We begin the expedition from the base camp headed toward the upper camp at the moraine. From here we will be going along the edge of the glacier. Continuing the ascent that will head us toward the base of a large wall, Saracs. There we will install the first campsite. This wall will take us about 7 hours. It is much easier than the other days.
Day Three Camp 1-5,500 Meters-Camp 2-6,000 Meters
We leave very early and continue the ascent toward The Shield. Next we continue climbing and encounter a triangular face that will take us quite a while. We will climb with a lot of precision and technique, taking security into account at each moment. Once this stretch is ascended, a journey awaits toward the gorge. It is a zone where avalanches are frequent. We will set up Camp 2. This whole trip will take 7-8 hours.
Day Four: Cumbre Sur-6,768 Meters.
As usual we will leave very early, at about 2 AM, heading our climb toward the narrow ravines that will facilitate us to be able to arrive at the upper section of the ravine, at 6,010 meters. There we will climb up several quite tall faces until we arrive at the peak of Huascaran, 6,768 meters above sea level, will do the entire journey in 9-10 hours. From this point we can appreciate the magnitude of the beauty of our mountains (the Cordillera Blanca Range), and then we will take a lot of photos and then prepare ourselves to descend to Camp 2.
Day Five, Camp 1- 6,000 Meters
We continue with the descent, maintaining precautionary security at every moment. As such we will descend by the same route and this will only take about 6-7 hours until we arrive at Camp 1.
Day Six: Campo 1-5,500 Meters—Base Camp-4,800 Meters
We will continue the descent in the same direction which will take about 3-4 hours. We will descend to the base camp and then set up our campsite so we can relax and dry all the equipment.
Day Seven: Musho- Huaraz-3100m.s.n.m.
We leave at about 8 AM, continuing the descent, which will take about 2-3 hours until Musho where the bus will be waiting for us to take us to Huaraz. Ending the expedition we will take our clients to their respective hostels.
