Peruvian Andes mountains contain 2 of the world highest tropical mountain ranges on earth: “Cordillera Blanca” and “Cordillera Huayhuash”. The highest one, “Cordillera Blanca” is entirely located in Ancash region. There are 17 peaks over 6000meters, about 500 lakes and 700 individual glaciers.
It is not a surprise that it offers a lot when it comes to any activity related with mountaineering you can think of.
